SchaeferCONNECT is the name of our cargo management and inventory control system designed specifically for the metals and general cargo industries. It’s technological capability allows our clients to view incoming shipments, and receive status updates on those shipments, while in transit and during the different logistics stages until reaching the final destination. We are not alone in believing that technology can positively change this industry, and we make genuine efforts to stay in front of all innovations related to the cargo management industries.

We have the capacity and equipment to handle vessels and barges of standard 20′ and 40′ containers, and store them in a secure location.

Logistics in Mexico
Over the course of several decades, we have created a solid logistics network to help us deliver cargo as quickly and safely as possible to almost any part of Mexico.
Our focus began in steel, but today we handle all types of bulk, breakbulk, project, liquid and containerized cargo through our logistics companies in the country. We offer stevedoring, warehousing, trucking, vessel agency, and freight forwarding services along the Gulf and Pacific coasts of Mexico in a combination of our own assets and those contracted.

Bulk, Breakbulk Cargo & Project Cargo
Our stevedoring focus is primarily steel and general cargo in both bulk and breakbulk shipments, but we routinely handle project cargo including over dimensional and heavy weight pieces for both the United States and Mexico. Other typical cargoes include; aluminum, lumber, pig-iron, sugar, and scrap.
Schaefer facilities have dock, rail and truck access allowing for a complete and safe terminal handling operation. We use specialty equipment and high quality accessories for the proper handling of highly sensitive cargo types used in the automotive, agricultural, construction and energy industries. Our offices manage both large and small volumes of cargo shipments via; ships, barges, railcars and trucks for both import and export movements.
